Purakaunui Falls

Access to this picture postcard attraction is signposted off SH92 just north of Papatowai.

Walk just ten minutes from the roadside carpark through pretty forest to the most visited and photographed waterfalls in the area. Mid-morning is the best time for impressive photos when the sun shines on the water cascading over three terraces.
