Galbraiths Alehouse

A public library built in 1912 in an Edwardian Baroque style to a design by architect Edward Bartley has now become a pub and restaurant. A 'free' house, it serves a wide range of beers including of course those brewed in-house. The brewpub has New Zealand's first modern time brewery producing cask conditioned ales. The ales are produced with English malts and New Zealand hops by brewer Keith Galbraith.
