The Cricketers Arms - Former

The concrete brutalist style of this building makes it a period piece. Once the Cricketers Arms Tavern and built for New Zealand Breweries, it has housed popular clubs including Happy, Club Garibaldi’s, Amigo & Latinos. Despite it's style and excellent position in 2015 it was looking for a new tenant.

The architect was D C (Colin) Gunter. It was was built in 1968-70. The subsequent installation of a lift has compromised the design by removing the corner void.
