Eden Park

Eden Park, the home of Auckland cricket and rugby has been a sports ground since 1900. It has become an iconic venue for Rugby and Cricket test matches. Parking space is limited. For a big occasion it is better to travel by train or bus.
Kingsland Rail Station is just across the road. For major events dedicated buses use special stops within walking distance and a purpose built transport facility within the stadium itself. Local architects Jasmax worked in association with HOK Sport (now known as Populous), an international architectural firm specializing in the design of sports facilities and convention centers. Look for the four magnificent Maori carvings (tekoteko) which guard each entrance.
