Element Cafe and Restaurant

Like Logan Brown in Wellington this eating place is set in the splendour of an old banking chamber. Serious ceiling glass and plasterwork add gravity to this fine dining establishment. It also doubles as a more casual café during the day. The heritage listed building once housed the Bank of New Zealand. It was designed by Joshua Charlesworth. He was responsible for designing at least 17 branches of the BNZ between 1905 and 1917.
