Waihi Arts Centre and Museum

A Regional History Museum and Gallery for local artists. Museum focus is on the history of the gold-mining era in the Ohinemuri gold fields and the Waihi mines concentrating in particular on the Martha mine. Once a technical college built in 1911 it became an arts centre and museum in 1962.
