Kaupokonui Dairy Factory Complex

This comprehensive group of dairy factory buildings and hydro-power installation was part of the highly successful Kaupokonui Cooperative Dairy Co Ltd. The cooperative was founded in 1897. The factory gained competitive advantage by being powered with a hydro-electric plant. The complex is a significant reminder of NZ's industrial heritage.
