Te Araroa Trail, Kerikeri, Far North
The falls can be reached by a short walk from the road or as the destination in the river walk which begins in the Kerikeri basin. The Maori name for these falls on the Kerikeri River is Waianiwaniwa meaning ' Waters of the Rainbow'. Look out for the diversion canal which fed the 1930s electricity generator from above the falls.
