Poverty Bay Club

1898 weatherboard stalwart of Gisborne social scene. Still the place to go to catch a gig or have a drink or a meal. Sitting proud in the sun on a great site in the city centre, though her new neighbours are a furniture store and a hardware store. The old girl, still Victorian and provincial in appearance, but rolling with the times currently houses the club, Winston's bar, the Dome Cinema, a shop or two and cafe 1874. Though the building is was built in 1898, 1874 refers to the date the Club was first incorporated.
