Tapotupotu Bay

A lovely sandy bay with DoC camping facilities. A 4.5 km track leads to Sandy Bay and then the Cape Reinga Lighthouse, about a three hour walk. This is part of the four day Te Paki Coastal Track which can be walked east west or west east around the entire cape, and of course the beginning or end of Te Araroa, the walkway of the whole of New Zealand.
