Cook's Gardens

Famous as the place where Peter Snell claimed the world mile record in 1962 with a time of less than 4 minutes, Cook's Gardens is Wanganui's sports and entertainment centre. It has a 400 m synthetic athletic track, a wooden cycling veledrome and is the home for the Wanganui Rugby Union representative games.

Cook's Gardens is also an event centre.
