Ecclesfield Reserve

The beech forest on these 4 hectares of Forest & Bird reserve is part of the largest stand of beech in the Wellington region. Well marked walking tracks lead through tawa and beech forest on the hillside.

In the western corner on Te Kouka Knob there is a vantage point. A delightful place to visit on a fine day. Allow about 30 minutes for the round trip. There is a small parking space, enough for two cars.
