The ranges of the Remarkables form a dramatic backdrop to the tourist town of Queenstown, the 'Adventure Capital of the World'. You can drive up the road to the Remarkables Skifield. From there it's a short uphill walk to Lake Alta, part of the sequence involving Dimrill Dale.
