Hororata Reserve

A very sheltered picnic spot in a beautiful setting . The parking area is in front of the tennis courts.up a tree lined driveway A short walkway leads to a man-made lake.

The Hororata District is lucky enough to have had use of this excellent Domain since 1877 when local landowners gifted land to the community.

The original horse racing track is still here and can be used, though the Edwardian Lake dries up from time to time. Scouting, tennis, sport shooting and other community activities still take place here. Council does not have a webpage for the reserve, it is managed by a local committee. Just go to 102 Hororata Road.
