Northern Cemetery Dunedin

Visit the Northern Cemetery for its great views as well as the interesting tombs of some famous early settlers including William Larnach and Thomas Bracken who wrote the words of the New Zealand National Anthem.

Tearatells us "This mausoleum, in Dunedin's Northern Cemetery, was built by Larnach after his first wife died in 1881. It contains the remains of Larnach, his three wives, his daughter Kate and son Donald." The designer was R A Lawson.
