NZ Dance and Drama School - Te Whaea

Home to New Zealand’s top dance and drama schools, Te Whaea is a hub for creative study and practice. With a series of larger and smaller studios, Toi Whakaari, the NZ Drama school and NZ School of Dance students occupy the spaces by day, while independent companies and clubs hire the spaces a Te Whaea by evening and weekends.

Te Whaea is home to several theatre production spaces, including the Basement Theatre, Te Whaea Theatre, and more intimate, internal studio spaces.

Te Whaea spaces are often hired by companies including Capital E, NZ Symphony Orchestra, and has close ties with Royal New Zealand Ballet.
