Kelburn Cable Car Terminus

Lookout with great city and harbour views and access to the Botanic Gardens and the Cable Car Museum. To get here take the Cable Car from Lambton Quay and get off at the top. For kids there was a round tree to climb in.
From the terminus a marked walk leads down past the children's playground, and through the gardens including the rose garden, ending in the city near Parliament and the Beehive. As an alternative to visiting the gardens you can walk 600 metres to Kelburn Village where there is a pub, cafés and restaurants and take-away shops.
There is also a marked walk to Zealandia (the sanctuary). Follow the kiwi,frog and other signs on the pavement. This is a 2km walk mostly flat and will take about half an hour. If you prefer there is a free bus to Zealandia. The timetable is displayed.

The Cable Car runs every ten minutes.
