Wairoa District Museum

A small museum with well presented displays of the Maori and European history of the region. Funded by several local historical societies and the Ngati Kahungunu, The museum calls itself a “A Museum without Walls” a living entity linking people, history and place. It is located in a a former bank building listed as a Category II historic place.
