27 Hakataramea Highway, Uretane-Willowbridge, Waimate
Te Waimate Station was founded in 1854 by Michael Studholme and part of the Station’s land is still farmed by his descendants. The tiny hut that served as the original homestead, known as The Cuddy was built of totara slabs and thatch when the Station was first taken up. It has been preserved by the family. Also surviving on the property is a superb old woolshed.
