Okato and Stony River - Hangatahua Walkway

Okato is a small Taranaki town on Highway 45. There is a riverside walk in Okato. A short track (600m), it begins at Hickford Place and crosses the Stony River swing bridge to Okato Domain. Here you can enjoy a picnic, play on the field or fish for trout in the river (fishing licence required).
