The Mahara Gallery is a Kapiti Coast District Gallery that runs exhibitions across a variety of artistic genres. Both local artists and those from other parts of New Zealand are exhibited. Following a planned redevelopment the gallery will house and permanently display the Field Collection of works by Frances Hodgkins and others. The proposed designis by Athfield Architects.
Frances Hodgkins is interred at Waikanae Cemetery.
