Stratford Information Centre

Stratford, a town of about 9000 people, is the closest centre to the Egmont National Park. The district is also known for its gardens. The Percy Thomson Gallery, Stratford's public art gallery, and the Information Centre are in one complex integrated with the town square. Across Broadway is the 'tudor' town clock. New Zealand's only glockenspiel which plays daily at 10am, 1pm and 3pm. Jackson Architects were the designers. The wordle will tell you about glockenspiels.

Stratford is at the western end of the the Forgotten World Highway – SH43 which takes a back country route through to Taumarunui.
