With the impending demise of Bluff's historic Club Hotel there remains one option for heritage accommodation in the southern town. That is the Foveaux Hotel. An art deco boutique style premises, it is nothing if not authentic. The site was originally home to the 1899 Temperance Hotel, which was torn down in 1937 for this hotel to be built. Although the Foveaux is directly on State Highway One, it is about 2km from it's termination, so traffic is light.
