Burttons Track - Northern End

Horowhenua Walks

This is the northern end of the 15km walking track through the Tokomaru Valley - It is part of Te Araroa, the planned New Zealand-long walking trail.

Burttons can be walked in either direction, and now is open to mountain bikes. The century old whare of Burtton is along the track and the southern end is at the Mangahao Power Station. Have a good look at the DOC instructions in order to correctly follow the trail.
