Levin Public Gardens/Remembrance Park

Horowhenua Gardens

The area around Levin's Thompson House was officially renamed Remembrance Park on 27 August 2010 in recognition of the servicemen and women listed on the plaques of the refurbished Cenotaph. The Cenotaph steps are now lit by permanent 'poppy boxes' and the surrounding gardens have well established shade trees, extensive lawns and a small area of native bush. Across the road is the historic Levin Courthouse which has been refurbished on its new site amongst the rose gardens. The Levin Model Rail Club now operates from the old Courthouse building and is open at weekends from 1.00pm – 4.00pm and during school holidays.img style="float: right;" src="/Documents/Parks%20and%20Reserves/Nodog_
