Waitawheta Bush Tramway

A relatively lengthy (14 km) section of this spectacular bush tramway survives in in a magnificent gorge and bush setting. The tram route is a popular trampers track. Involving seven river crossings and can be done in a day. A DOC hut makes the preferable two trip viable.
