About Anzac Park Anzac Park is a large flat open space fringed by mature trees with 2 native bush areas. A popular park with families, it has a children?s playground, barbecue and picnic tables. It's also well-used by sports clubs with a football field, storage facilities for rowing, kayaking and waka ama and a boat ramp. History Anzac Park was named in 1916 commemorating the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps that served in World War 1. From early on it was used as a recreation space.
