Dunstan Hotel - Dunstan House Clyde

Clyde's original hotel.

This is the 1900 stone building that replaced the original weatherboard Dunstan Hotel, put up in 1862, to house and feed weary goldminers, back in the day of Hartley and O'Reilly. A similar building is around the corner, trading as Olivers.

It still has many original features intact including charming internal joinery, (by Albert Fountain) fireplaces, and very old clawfoot baths, and a bit of a ghost myth.

Though it went out of operation as a pub for a time, it is now a BnB, with the name Dunstan House. It's original name, The Dunstan Hotel, had earlier been transferred, along with the licence, to the old Commercial Hotel, a block up the road.
