In a restored Wesleyan Church, built of pit-sawn timber in 1876, alocal societyhas assembled a marvellously comprehensive collection of items and artefacts which are displayed to tell the mining history of the small township and recreate the lives of those who have lived there. A number of walks to old mining sites start nearby. A gold stamper battery is operated as part of the museum.
