Home to the Mairangi Bay Surf Lifesaving Club Mairangi Bay is the only North Shore beach with a professional lifeguard. Murrays Bay just to the north is a youth sailing centre. A section of the East Coast Bays coastal walkway will take you to Browns Bay - about 1.25 hours return. The Mairangi Bay Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning.The Market is centrally located in the Barfoot & Thompson carpark, a short stroll through Green Gables.
