Trott's Garden

Trott's elegant garden is actually three gardens and a church. With its English formality, its woodland and watergardens, it is thoroughly worth a visit. There is also a chapel whose interior features native New Zealand timbers and with it's marquee lawn can host weddings, reunions and memorial services. At times Trott's nursery flourishes to the extent that they have seedlings and plants for sale. The entire complex, which began as farmland, deemed a 'Garden of National Significance' has won awards and become the subject of a book. Open to the public during summer months for an admission charge.
