A special spot in Aviation history, being the training field for WW2 fighter pilots, and home to 50 Tiger Moths, Ashburton is also a stronghold of Kiwi Cropdusting heritage, creating a magic mix captured in this museum. For Aviation buffs and even those mildly interested, on display are a mixture of civil and military aircraft including a DH Devon, Harvard, Yeoman Cropmaster and Vampire Jet, a Skyhawk and a ZK-AMY a DC3 still in service. Great spot in the sun on the side of a fun and active smaller airfield which is base for skydiving, cropdusting, flight training, scenic tours.
