70 Dolamore Park Road, Otamita, Gore
Croydon Bush, located approximately 10 kms to the north west of Gore, provides a glimpse of the past. Surrounded by farmland, Croydon Bush shows what much of Southland once looked like with forest, grassland and shrubland communities. Dolamore Park was originally bought by the Gore Borough Council in 1940 to establish a public picnic area and provide access into the adjacent Croydon Bush Scenic Reserve in order to maintain it as a wildlife sanctuary. Camping facilities at the park include a kitchen block and showers. Both Dolamore park and Croydon Bush offer walking tracks taking from 10 minutes up to 4 hours. Poppelwells lookout (460m)provides views of the Mataura Valley.
