Dove Myer Robinson Park

Sitting below Parnell the Dove Myer Robinson Park has a children's playground, barbecue and swimming. It also includes two popular rose gardens. Nearby is pretty St Stephen's Church, which can be seen in this historic photograph.

It has been proposed that in 2020 a memorial be erected here to commemorate to the disaster of November 1979 when Air New Zealand Flight TE901 crashed in Antarctica on the lower slopes of Mount Erebus killing 257 people. However the proposal is being opposed.
