Brick Bay

Another hidden gem on the Matakana Coast, very popular amongst the locals featuring;

Shelter and shade
Close proximity to your car
Safe swimming

Grass verge within arms reach to the sand  - perfect for the sunbathing mum who doesn't want sand in the picnic basket but also wants to keep an eye on the sandcastle building kids.

It was 5pm on an overcast Friday, when we visited, Dad with his camera, Mum with a glass of wine and two happy under 5 year olds paddling in the outgoing tide.  We loved it. Brick bay is a Beatiful little swimming spot for the family, like many of the beaches around this area.

Tidal for best swimming, but can be enjoyed at anytime non the less.
