Army Bay

Army Bay is a beautiful sheltered sandy beach situated at the end of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula.

Located opposite Shakespeare Regional Park (on the North side of the peninsula) it gives you two additional beach options and a pest free wildlife sanctuary with many great walking tracks and waterfalls.

The Bay also has some large grass areas that are elevated from the beach and can make to perfect spot for setting up a gazebo and BBQ.

A place of historical significance with gun torrents that were placed in numerous places on the Peninsula to help protect from the threat of a Japanese invasion during the World War 2 conflict.
