White Gate Reserve is a small reserve located between the Aniseed Valley Road and the Roding River approximately one kilometre up the valley from Twin Bridges Reserve.

The Reserve contains a modified remnant of native forest with two large matai (Prumnopitys taxifolia) trees, several mature kanuka (Kunzea ericoides) trees, and modified understorey vegetation dominated by mahoe (Melicytus ramiflorus) on the steeper banks beneath the road. Silver birch and other introduced trees have been planted in the reserve.

The reserve was purchased by the Council from the Automobile Association in 1995 and it remains largely undeveloped.
