Eginton Park is located between Moffat and Pethybridge streets in Motueka.
The reserve is predominantly grassed with trees and shrubs planted around its edges. It is surrounded by residential properties, except on its northern boundary where it adjoins rural land. A concrete path through the northern part of the reserve provides pedestrian access between Moffat and Pethybridge streets. Rugby goal posts are present at the southern end of the reserve.Eginton Park provides an area of open space for informal recreation and provides useful pedestrian access between suburban streets. Some trees in the reserve have been planted in memory of people in the area.
The reserve is named after the Eginton family who farmed in the area, and particularly Mr. Wally Eginton who served as mayor to Motueka Borough after World War II.
