About Whataupoko Park Langford Fallon Reserve (commonly known as Whataupoko Park) has 7 kilometres of trails suitable for walking and mountain biking.? It offers sweeping views of Poverty Bay from many sites on the reserve creating a scenic attraction. The great number of trees on the reserve provides excellent shade to recreational users and extensive planting has brought many native birds to the area, including Tui and Kereru. History The park was developed in 2011 after Council purchased the land in 1992. Taking its name the 'Langford Fallon Reserve' from its previous owners Mr Roger Langford and Mr Kevin Fallon.? The land was then planted in exotic trees which are now well established.? The mountain bike trails were developed in 2003 by a group of volunteers.
