15 Abberley Crescent, Saint Albans, St Albans-Avonside, Christchurch City
A family park, originally a large private garden. The stands of mature trees are testimony to the planting which has been taking place since the 1860s. Since then it has gone through a few iterations including use as an experimental farm during World War II.
There is a fountain and a scented garden. The paddling pool which suffered earthquake damage has been repaired and the playground updated, but the residents did not want it to be any bigger. Dogs are allowed.
The homestead is long gone but a small hall in the park can be hired.
