Central Institute of Technology - Campus of Innovation and Sport

Chris Brooke-White, the architect, established the tiered lecture block as the central feature of the CIT campus. Its brutalist form identifies the facilities as a product of the early 70s.
The Institute has now left the site and in 2015 it was sold to developers who are building a residential sports hub, known as the New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport (NZCIS) designed to be a multi-discipline training facility. The Wellington Rugby Football Union will be based here from 2021.
