Spring Creek Bridge

If it is too hot for you in either Picton or Blenheim here is the perfect spot to cool off.

This stunning swimming hole on the Wairau river is down Ferry Road, Spring Creek. It is a sharp left hand turn immediately after the bridge. Spring Creek is between Picton and Blenheim. About 20km from Picton it is a left hand turn at Spring Creek Junction, or about 6km from Blenheim and is a right hand turn at the junction.

The road is named Ferry Road as this was the site where a river ferry operated for crossing the Wairau before the single lane concrete bridge was built.
