Mount Bledisloe

A Bay of Islands look out point with panoramic views -a short walk from the road.

Though the hill doubtless had an original Maori name, it was renamed for Lord Bledisloe in 1934, while he was the governor general, and made a presentation of the large circular geographical dome atop the hill. It had been created by Royal Doulton in London.
