Te Awamutu Rose Gardens

Formal rose garden with beds of one variety and colour. Over 2000 bushes. Considered to be be one of the best in the country. Accessible to the public at all hours.
These are part of the Otawhao Mission Station farm of 70 hectares (170 acres) which later became the army headquarters during the Waikato Land Wars (1860s).
