Scotts Beach Walk

Scotts Beach is 1.5 hours return

Drive 15 km from Karamea to Kohaihai (partly unsealed road).

Spectacular views of the coast and a shady walk through lush forest with palms, vines, ferns and many large-leafed, glossy plants.

The track begins behind the shelter, takes you across a bridge and climbs over the Kohaihai Saddle. There’s a lookout point - picnic table provided - a couple of minutes off the main track. From here it’s a short descent to the beach.
