Toi's Walk NGA TAPUWAE O TOI

There are 16 kilometres of walkways to the south of Whakatane. Together they are called Toi's walk but you can do them in sections. There are three major scenic reserves and an historic reserve en-route. There are parking places at the end of the sections. The walkway visits Toi’s stronghold Kapu-te-rangi, overlooking the town, one of the oldest known pa sites in New Zealand.
