Rerekawau Falls - Kaiate Falls

A special spot in the Bay of Plenty, combining a satisfying short walk with impressive views of Tauranga and Mount Maunganui with world class waterfall magic. A gentle drive in on a gravel road leads to a carpark with picnic facilities. An hour or less on well maintained tracks through native bush walkers reach the upper falls then over the stream to the lower falls. One set is a cascading series, the other a classic ponytail fall.
