Mangawhero Forest Walk and Rimu Track

These two delightful walks which together take about an hour start at the beginning of the Mountain Road. The shorter wheel chair friendly Rimu Track takes about 15 minutes. The Forest Walk is a loop which heads up along one side of the road and back along the other. Among other things it features giant rimu, matai and kahikatea trees reaching thirty metres or more above the forest floor.
