Karaka Bay

Karaka Bay was the site of one of the signings of the Treaty of Waitangi. It is a local reserve with beach access via a steep walkway through mature trees.Once at the beach be surprised by the many homes that hide away amongst the bush and beauty of an area well hidden from the hustle and bustle of a busy city. Be prepared though for a bit of a hike both down the hill and back up again.. Dog exercise: We do not currently have dog exercise area information for this park. Please check for signage at the park.
