Haywards Hill Quarry - Helms Deep and Minas Tirith

The film crew took over the quarry on Hayward's Road to build the castle of Helm's Deep which is attacked by thousands of Orcs. When the Helm's Deep filming ended, the quarry became the city of Minas Tirith, featuring in the third film.
